News for Foreign Riders
News about the Italian quad championships, rules and race registration for foreign riders.
For the 2013 season, the Quad Division of the Italian Motorcycling Federation is promoting two championships and one trophy: the Italian Quad Championship, the Italian Quad Cross Championship and the Supermare QuadCross Trophy.
The Italian Quad Championship races are held on taped-off dirt tracks, the Italian Quad Cross Championship takes place on motocross tracks and the Supermare QuadCross Trophy on beaches. The latter one is combined with the popular motorbike races 'Internazionali d'Italia sulla sabbia Supermarecross' organized by FX Action.
Foreign riders who are member of a UEM recognized Federation are allowed to participate in all three events, provided that they have a national license and a race start permission from their own federation. To compete in the Supermare QuadCross Trophy, you must also be a competitor in the Italian Quad Cross Championship in one of the following categories: Sport, Elite and Veteran.
- The race calendar is published here: http://www.fmiquad.it/calendari;
- The rules are published here: http://www.fmiquad.it/archivio-documenti (click on the first link 'Regolamenti Gare Quad 2013');
- Registration for the two championships is available on line: http://sistema2.federmoto.it/quad/quadiscrizionegare1.asp
Foreign riders don't have to fill in the license number, because that field is compulsory only for Italian riders. We remind you that pre-payment is obligatory only for Quad Cross rounds: indeed, the registration form asks for the CRO number. The payment must be made directly to the motor club which organizes the race (here is the bank account for the MC Pistons Valley, #1 round Quad Cross: http://www.fmiquad.it/3165/dati-bancari-gara-di-salmour.html). Missed early payment involves a fine of € 20,00 to be payed directly to the organizer during the race week end.
